Tools for Finishing Selection Guide Stick Grindstones

Features of Stick Grindstones

Model Number Color Coolant Type Dry Type Particle Size Features
EXSC Blue
Gray
#120 ~ #2000 It is a grindstone that uses C abrasive grain. It has low friction and can obtain an even surface finish
with press type, aluminum, and copper polishing and excels at polishing.
SPSC Yellow x #120 ~ #1000 It is a grindstone with sulfur impregnated into the WA grindstone. It has good grinding functionality and a clean surface finish. It is also excellent at light grinding.
KKSC Dark
Pink
#120 ~ #1000 It is a grindstone with special resin impregnated into the WA grindstone. It can be used wet or dry. It is especially adept at SKD and SKH material grinding as well as curved surface processing. It is optimal for medium finishing to finishing.
RPSC Brown x #120 ~ #1000 It is a grindstone with general resin impregnated into the WA grindstone. It is for coarse to medium finishing after rib processing and electrical discharge machining. It is a softer type compared to EDSC.
EDSC Brown x #120 ~ #1000 It is a grindstone with high functionality resin impregnated into the WA grindstone. It is excellent for coarse to medium finishing related to electrical discharge machining (hardening layer) after machining. It is more resistant to friction compared to RPSC.
HGSC Brown #150 ~ #1000 It is a grindstone with resin impregnated into the WA abrasive grain. It does not clog even when used dry and shows excellent grinding capabilities even if oil is on the work, contributing to the shortening of work hours.
RFSC Dark
Pink
#80 ~ #220 It is a grindstone that uses PA abrasive grains. It is excellent for rough finish processing, wet or dry, and has excellent grinding capabilities and abrasion resistance.
PKSC Blue
Gray
#280 ~ #1000 It is a grindstone that uses C abrasive grain. It is a pouring mold type that uses carborundum with few bonds that cause scratches, and finishes with a high abrasive grain rate. It can be used wet or dry.

Features of Abrasive Grains

Type Abrasive Grain Types Material Types Features
Alumina Abrasive Grain
(Alundum)
A Abrasive Grain Brown Alumina Polishing Materials A chunk of solidified alumina from smelting reduction of alumina ore is pulverized and the grains are regulated. It is made from corundum crystals and non-crystal parts that contain a small amount of titanium oxide, and is very tough.
PA Abrasive Grain Pink Alumina Polishing Materials A chunk solidified after smelting and reducing alumina raw materials with a small amount of chromium oxide was pulverized and the grains were regulated, made up of pink corundum crystals. It is tougher than WA abrasive grain due to the addition of chromium oxide.
WA Abrasive Grain White Alumina Grinding Materials A chunk solidified after smelting and reducing high purity alumina was pulverized and the grains were regulated, made up of pure white corundum crystals. It is not as tough as A abrasive grain but has excellent crushing capabilities.
Silicon Carbide Abrasive Grain
(Carborundum)
C Abrasive Grain Black Silicon Carbide Grinding Tools Ingots from reacting silicon oxide raw materials and carbon materials were pulverized and the grains were regulated, made up of black silicon carbide crystals. It is considerably less tough than A and WA abrasive grain but it is extremely hard.
