A dedicated seal for needle roller bearings designed to have a small cross-sectional height to match the needle roller bearings.
[Features]
· Contact seal made of synthetic rubber reinforced via steel plate.
·The operating temperature range is -25 to +120°C.
·100°C or less for continuous use.
·If the seal contact surface and lubrication conditions are good, the peripheral speed of general specifications is 10 m/s for the G type with 1 lip.
[Applications]
·Ideal for dust control when using needle roller bearings.

Installation relations
The contact surface of the seal needs to be hardened and ground to obtain good sealing performance. In addition, there should be no harmful scratches or indentations on the contact surface of the seal. When the raceway surface of the inner ring is used as the seal contact surface, a wide inner ring is used.
It is desirable to provide a tapered surface on the shaft flange or housing flange so as not to damage the lip and outer diameter surface when installing the seal (Fig. 1). If there is no tapered surface or roundness at the shaft end, it is advisable to use a mounting jig as shown in Fig. 2. As for the tightness between the seal and the housing, a sufficient tightness can be obtained within the range of the normal housing tolerance G7 to R7.
To lubricate the G-shaped lip seal, it is advisable to apply a lubricant to the lip part at the time of installation. Be careful not to turn over the lip when installing the seal or shaft.

Product features details
It is a dedicated seal specially designed for the small cross-sectional height of needle-shaped roller bearings, and has the function of preventing contaminant from entering and holding grease.
- There is a G type with 1 lip and a GD type with 2 lips.
- It is composed of a steel ring and synthetic rubber, and the operating temperature range is -25 to 120°C, and 100°C or less for continuous use.
- Since the shell type needle roller bearing and the radial cross-sectional height match, no alteration of the housing is required, so it is easy to handle.
