- Can connect a Mac equipped with a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) or a personal computer from various manufacturers to a display with a DisplayPort.
- Compatible with DisplayPort standard ver.1.2. Supports a transmission speeds of up to 21.6 Gbps (5.4 Gbps per lane × 4) and can display high resolutions up to 3,840 × 2,160.
- Can transmit video and audio with a single cable. Audio signal input/output is an optional function of the device, so compatible devices are required.
- Supports DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection) copyright technology and HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), a copyright protection technology for preventing unauthorized copying of contents.
- From the center of the cable, a triple shielding process of "aluminum shield (twisted pair cable), aluminum shield, high-density braided shield" is applied to protect important data from noise.
