Square Connectors（Allowable Voltage：AC200）

Rectangular connectors are designed with a rectangular interface. They are frequently used in products such as discrete wire IDC connectors for terminating multiple discrete wires and D-sub connectors used in office appliance and computer interfaces. The connectors are usually used in sets that comprise the male (pin connector) end with exposed terminals and female (socket connector) end where the pin is inserted. The connectors come in either straight types that mount perpendicular to the circuit board or right angle types that mount horizontally to the circuit board. Wire termination methods include soldered, crimped, IDC, screw-mount, etc., and are different for each connector.

[Features]
· HIF3B series products are developed to comply with the MIL standard and can be used in a wide range of applications.
· Compatible with HIF3 series.
· HIF3B series products are UL-listed connectors.
· Features a mechanism to prevent mis-insertion.
· A form in which inserting the guide key (polarity key) on the pin header side creates a convex section that fits into the concave section (polarity keyway) of the socket. (MIL standard)
· A form in which the mis-insertion prevention guide (polarity guide) on the socket side fits into the slot (polarity slot) on the pin header side.
· A system that embeds the polarizing key in the socket hole and guides it.
· A guide system in which the convex section on the socket side (HIF3A type) combines with the slot located in the center of the pin header side.
· The compatible wire (UL2651) is an AWG#28 ribbon cable (7-core/0.127 mm, jacket diameter of 0.9 ± 0.2 mm).

D-Sub Connector (Ribbon Cable IDC Termination, Low-Profile), FDD Series

HIROSE ELECTRIC

A ribbon/cable crimp connection type D-sub connector. Low height on the wiring side helps save space within the set.

[Features]
• Metal shell makes it compact and sturdy.
• Connectors can be mounted on the chassis, or on the front or back sides of the panel.
• Height of the wiring side is greatly reduced to facilitate more compact sets.
· The structure uses a piece of metal to secure the ribbon cable holding plate and is thus able to provide a strong securing force to secure the cable reliably.
• Standard 1.27 mm-pitch ribbon cable can also be pressure-contact connected by replacing the tool when the pitch is something other than the 1.38-mm pitch of the D-sub. (Note that in such cases, a tool that slits cable will be needed.)
• Discrete cables can also be pressure-contact connected by using a multi-core cable pressure-contact device.

D-Sub Connector (Ribbon Cable Insulation Displacement Connection Type) FD Series

A ribbon/cable pressure connection type D-sub connector. As a 1.27-mm pitch ribbon cable is optimal, it can be used in combination with other connectors.

· Has a metal shell and so is small and lightweight.
· Connector mounting can be performed on the chassis, front or back, or one of the sides.
· The structure uses a piece of metal to secure the ribbon cable holding plate and is thus able to provide a strong securing force to secure the cable reliably.
· As the cable pitch at the pressure attachment site is a standard 1.27 mm, a normal ribbon cable can be easily connected.
· The purpose of pressure connections is the ability to make easy connections with the same purpose as other ribbon cable connectors.

Miniature Low-Profile Interface DN Connector

This small, multi-pin rectangular connector was developed to support the miniaturization of electronic devices, and thinner devices in particular

[Features]
· The terminal's wire connector is arrayed in a 2.54 mm grid that makes it easy to design circuits on a printed circuit board.
· The structure of the terminal is based on the manufacturer's SM series (D-sub connectors). This gives the terminal dependable quality.
· The single-action lock mechanism provides excellent operability.
· The cover case is designed to be thin and compact and features a low profile in order to meet the needs of high-density mounting. Mounting with 17.78 mm (700 mils) between circuit boards is possible.
· The cover case is made of an aluminum die casting offering good electromagnetic shielding characteristics. Combined with the connector's metal shell, the above configuration ensures that noise is reduced.
· The dip connector includes a snap (circuit board temporary joint) bracket.
· Pressure Connecting type supports connection of two wire types, AWG 26 and 28, via pressure welding, for use with standard 1.27-mm pitch cables.
· Crimping type can be used to perform crimping of AWG 26 to 28 wiring.
· Depending on the application, cable can be extracted in either the vertical or horizontal direction.
